Day 338/365: Maitland Sunrise

Just about the only good thing about working dogwatch is watching some of the spectacular sunrises over the long bridge in Maitland. We are lucky enough to work in the Penthouse so get a great view across the flats. What I love the most is the line of silhouetted trees along the bridge. Unfortunately I only had my iPhone with me, so it’s another quick & fun one. But it’s all about the view!

Day 331/365: Afternoon Glow

This wasn’t the exact shot I had in mind when I went out for a walk yesterday with all my boys & the puppies, and it’s technically not the best shot, but I love it anyway. I especially love the glow the sunlight has left around John, Kody & Juno.

Day 311/365: Stormy Night

After a hot day, a storm was rolling into Vacy tonight. I was trying to capture the lightning strikes but was unsuccessful. There is an art to lightning photos. But I did capture this last little bit of colour in the sky before the dark gloomy clouds engulfed it!

Day 263/365: Vacy Sunrise

The sunrise this morning was so breathtaking, it was easy to know what to post for today. Here it is in all it’s glory.

Day 227/365: Backyard Sunrise

I’ll start by saying I’m not really a morning person. John was outside feeding the chooks and came back in saying how gorgeous the sunrise was. I didn’t really want to get up, get the camera, put shoes & a jacket on, but he did a good job of guilting me into it! And what a reward I now have! It was a foggy morning and the light was soft and subtle coming through the clouds. Who wouldn’t love waking up to this? So perhaps I will slowly become more of a morning person to capture views like this one.

Day 224/365: A Pelican’s View

This is the last of the Patonga sunset images. I had to include one of this pelican perched on a post. There were actually four pelicans on posts seeming to be enjoying the sunset just as much as I was!

Day 223/365: Pink & Swirly

Another shot of the magnificent sunset from our camping trip to Patonga.  The wildlife seemed to be enjoying it too!

Day 211/365: Sunrise

I found one more sunrise image that I wanted to put up on the blog, mainly because the silhouettes of Kyle & John are in the foreground. I guess sentiment never fails!

Day 210/365: Stormyvale

This is a quick one for a Friday. I took this on my iPhone on my way to work one stormy afternoon last week in Maitland Vale. The clouds were pretty angry, and the sun was trying hard to get out!

Day 205/365: Serene Sailing

I just had to capture one of the sailboats in silhouette on the lake at sunrise. It looked so peaceful and relaxed.
