Day 263/365: Vacy Sunrise

The sunrise this morning was so breathtaking, it was easy to know what to post for today. Here it is in all it’s glory.

Day 262/365: Cam’s Wharf

This is an early morning photo of the jetty at Rafferty’s Resort in Cam’s Wharf. I got up nice & early, but with the sun rising behind us didn’t get the normal superbness of the golden hour. I still like the misty morning hue that hangs in the image, and the texture along the side of the jetty.

Day 249/365: Dedication

Although the ocean looks beautiful and relaxing, and I have often thought that going out for surf would be the ultimate self indulgent relaxation, I still find the dedication of a surfer inspiring. On a cool, misty morning, you would not find me dipping my toes into the great blue ocean.

Day 241/365: On The Steps

I love the colour scheme of the Ocean Baths, and the scheme is continued out here on the bluey-green concrete steps that run along one side of the pool. The lines of the step lead you right around to the rest of the detail in the photo. Standing there was so quiet & relaxing with the ocean the only sound reaching my ears.

Day 239/365: Ocean Baths at Dawn

I reluctantly crawled out of bed at 4:20am this morning to head down to Newcastle for sunrise. I was disappointed I couldn’t see the usually spectacular Milky Way as I walked out to the car. I just hoped the trip would still be worth it despite the cloud cover…  One of the best driving songs of all time came on the radio which helped put me in the right frame of mind for the early morning shoot – Highway To the Danger Zone! This was one of the first images I grabbed as I arrived at the baths. I now wish I had arrived earlier to capture more of this pre-dawn sky!

Day 200/365: Best Mates

I just love this image of Ethan and his Polar bear “Polly”. Ethan just loves him to bits, and you can tell from the dirty state of the white bear. But best friends don’t care about appearances, do they? I have also discovered the joys of fill-flash! Two hundred days in & I’m loving this journey…

Day 197/365: Dawn on the Lake

Still cold and calm over the lake. The sun had yet to peek over the horizon. A beautiful sight to be seen…
