A 365 Day Project

Day 359/365: Christmas Slip & Slide

There is nothing like the fun of kids on a slip & slide at Christmas time. Take that!!

Day 345/365: Watch Out for the Redback!

You never know what you will find down at Con’s place, my very artistic neighbour. This red back is always lurking around somewhere, this time down near the robots, back in the bushes!

Watch Out for the Redback: Nikon D7000; f5.3; 1/100; ISO 1000

Day 343/365: Air Supply

If you saw yesterdays post, you could have been wondering how we would breath down there…. or not!! Anyway, this is the top notch, modern air conditioning facility that is attached to the bunker. Nothing to be concerned about after all…

Air Supply: Nikon D7000; f4.8; 1/60; ISO 1000

Day 341/365: Sculptured Vision

My neighbour, whom I have blogged about before in my Eclectic Echidna post, is a spectacular metal artist. He recycles all sorts of stuff to create some really fantastic & interesting sculptures. This is another of his creations which resides in the very front corner of his property to greet visitors. The eyes of a robot….

Sculptured Vision: Nikon D7000; f5.6; 1/125; ISO 250

Recycled Robot: Nikon D7000; f4.2; 1/200; ISO 500

Day 340/365: Silver Maille

This is a close up view of the box clasp on the sterling silver chain maille bracelet I made. It is butterfly weave, simple but effective.

Silver Maille: iPhone 4; processed in Instagram

Day 339/365: Christmas Reflections

We had the school presentation night tonight, so walking in the door very late, the boys rushed to turn on the Christmas tree lights. The first thing I noticed was the 3 reflections in the front windows, and since I still didn’t have a photo for today I quickly got the tripod & shot it before crawling into bed. I love Christmas lights, so pretty & calming!

Christmas Reflections: Nikon D7000; f3.5; 0.6s; ISO 250

Day 337/365: Star of the Show

Well, for I think only the third day this year I am late in putting up my photo. I will blame the Christmas party & working nightshift afterwards! Anyway, we put our tree up yesterday. The boys were so excited and basically did all the hard yakka. It was Kyle’s turn to add the star to the top of the tree. The silly season starts!

Star of the Show: Nikon D7000; f4; 1/160; ISO 100

Day 333/365: Feather

Nothing fancy, just a feather I found out in the paddock…

Feather: Nikon D7000; f13; 1/400; ISO 1000

Day 331/365: Afternoon Glow

This wasn’t the exact shot I had in mind when I went out for a walk yesterday with all my boys & the puppies, and it’s technically not the best shot, but I love it anyway. I especially love the glow the sunlight has left around John, Kody & Juno.

Afternoon Glow: Nikon D7000; f5; 1/250; ISO 100

Day 328/365: Spring Rooftops

This is the view I have everyday from what we call the Penthouse at my work. I love this time of year when all the jacarandas are in flower and you can just see the purple masses across the town. I also like the look of the old rooftops and all the chimney stacks.

Spring Rooftops: Nikon D7000; f9; 1/160; ISO 400
