For the first time our apple tree is fruiting. Hopefully they will still be there until they ripen and the birds don’t get them!
This is another thing I have told myself all year I need to shoot. So finally, with ten days to spare, I stopped the car, got out and took some time to grab a few frames. I do wish I could have got closer for some detail shots of this derelict old cottage, but this was as close as I could get. I think it suits the black & white.
A different view of another hay rake. That is all.
I read a blog post on taking Christmas bokeh shots yesterday morning, so last night before I went to work I had to get the camera out & give it a try! I am really pleased with my first attempts, and can’t wait to try some different style bokeh shots when we go out to look at lights this weekend. I couldn’t even pick just one photo, so you’ve got three. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas….
A miserable, rainy summer day and I find myself home early for a change. What better thing to do than go for a wander around the yard looking for things to shoot? This was my pick of my shots, but I might have to post another one or two later this week. All I can say about this one is simplicity is the key to success!
We went to my nephew’s birthday party today, and these paper baubles were the first thing to catch my eye. I loved the colours and the pattern made from the folding paper. They were hanging just inside so the light coming through was perfect.
Here are a couple of detail shots of my boy’s guitar. Just love the blue…
